This is necessary for the core functionality of VIP Alerts, which helps the app fetch the sender’s display name, content, and package name of the app from the notification and triggers a new distinctive notification. The app uses the display name to filter notifications from the VIP contacts that are designated by you.
Data Handling: We do not alter, delete, share, or sell contact data. The notification content is used solely within the device to filter and display relevant notifications to you.
1.2 Access to Installed Apps
Purpose: The App queries the installed applications on your device to identify the app from which a notification was received and to give you the option to launch that app from the VIP Alerts app, which helps us enhance the usability of the application.
Data Handling: The information about installed apps is only used locally to identify and display the app name from which a notification originates and to launch the app. We do not alter, share, or sell any details about your installed apps.
1.3 Access to Send Notifications
Purpose: The App requests permission to send new distinct notifications to keep you informed about the messages/emails received from the designated VIP contacts.
User Control: You can configure how notifications are sent, including enabling/disabling sounds or vibrations, based on your preferences.
Data Handling: We do not alter, share, or sell any notification content. The notification content is used solely within the device to display relevant notifications to you. The data embedded in the notification are disposed of once they are read or dismissed by you.
1.4 Access to Contact Details
Purpose: The App requests access to your contact details to fetch the display name of the contact associated with a notification. This enhances your user experience by enabling you to pick VIP contact names from the device’s contacts list. You have the option to reject granting access to contact details and type VIP contacts manually.
Data Handling: We do not alter, delete, share, or sell contact data. If you grant access, the contacts’ display names are encrypted and stored locally in the device.
2. Advertising
VIP Alerts includes banner ads and interstitial ads provided by third-party advertising partners. These ads help us keep the App free for users. Please note that the Premium users will not get the ads.
Ad Networks: These third-party advertisers may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your interactions with the App or other apps on your device.
Data Handling: We do not share personal data (e.g., notifications, contact details) with these ad networks. However, ad providers may collect data independently as described in their privacy policies.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we access solely for providing the features and functionality of the App, including:
- Filtering and displaying important notifications based on your preferences.
- Enhancing the user experience by identifying the app associated with the notification and displaying the contact names when selecting VIP names.

You have full control over the permissions granted to VIP Alerts. You can revoke access to notifications, contacts, and other permissions at any time through your device settings. However, please note that revoking certain permissions may affect the App’s core functionality.
